A Dream Realized: Maison Albert House

It had been a long-standing goal to build a residential hospice to serve Southeast New Brunswickers, the first for the region. The building was made possible due to the generous donation of land by the Hum-Lew-Sun Lions Club. The capital campaign co-chairs Dennis Cochrane and Dr. Janice Cormier worked closely with the Campaign Cabinet to successfully raise the funds which included contributions from all three level of governments including all municipalities in Southeast New Brunswick, corporate and community partners, and several individual contributions.

Maison Albert House welcomed its first resident in July 2021. Maison Albert House is a 10-bed residential hospice that provides quality, personalized and confidential palliative care for residents and their families from Albert, Kent, and Westmorland counties.
