Sales Associate

Are you looking to work with the local community in a busy and varied role? A bilingual sales associate position is the first point of contact for our customers in our boutique style thrift store. You must be extremely service-oriented and be willing to work on our sales floor and in our donation area as required. We are seeking both a full-time and a part-time person.

Job brief

• Provide an accurate and efficient checkout service
• Engage customers to enhance loyalty and increase sales
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Answer the telephone in a professional and courteous manner
• Organize and rotate merchandise so it is displayed to maximise sales
• Evaluate and price donations to meet store guidelines
• Guide customers through the sales and donation process
• Promote upcoming organizational fundraisers and in-store events
• Open and close the store in a secure manner
• Administrative support duties
• Other duties as required

Requirements

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• An eye for detail
• Bilingual French and English preferred
• Be dependable with a good work ethic
• Flexibility to work shifts between Monday and Saturday
• Superior customer service skills
• Willingness to work with others
• Must be able to stand for long periods
• Must be able to lift boxes and bags (up to 25 lbs) using work safe guidelines
• Previous store experience would be considered an asset
• Must be eligible to work in Canada
