Description
This is a great large plate made to commemorate the Silver Jubilee in 1977 of Queen Elizabeth II of England by Wheatherby, England in blue beautiful transferware. The ironstone plate bears a very attractive portrait of Queen Elizabeth II with a horse and a lion surrounding her, followed by a gorgeous floral pattern.
The plate is titled Capital and features famous London sites in vignettes like Piccadilly Circus, the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben, Trafalgar Square and Tower Bridge.
The plate has a diameter of 26 cm (10.2 inches) and makes a great piece of British Royal memorabilia.
