In conjunction with the New Brunswick Hospice Palliative Care Association, the Extra-Mural Program and family physicians as well as with support from our many gracious donors, Hospice Southeast New Brunswick is able to provide FREE and CONFIDENTIAL services to those living in Westmorland and Albert Counties.
In-Home Hospice Palliative Care
We focus on the dignity and comfort of our clients rather than the aspect of an incurable disease. Our volunteer visitors can significantly improve the clients quality of life through companionship, being great listeners, and sharing activities such as preparing their favorite meal, playing cards, going for a drive or chatting over coffee.
If you or someone you know is in need of palliative care, please call 506-383-2404 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Once you’ve reached out to us our Community Coordinator will visit the client and match them with a volunteer who has similar interests. Rest assured that our volunteers must apply and provide a criminal record check, receive detailed training to national standards, and pass confidentiality requirements.
Volunteers play a vital role in providing care to patients in their own homes when their caregivers require time away from home to attend to personal matters. They can also lend an ear to caregivers who may need support through this difficult time.
Our Coping with Grief groups provide a safe, supportive and healing environment for those who have lost a loved one. They are facilitated by a compassionate leader in a small group setting and cover topics such as the journey, spirituality, doubts and more.
*NEW* We now offer pet bereavement sessions.
